The clinical educator provides teaching to clinical and non-clinical long term care workers who are participating in professional development training through the New York State funded Workforce Investment Organization (WIO) at ArchCare. Provides focused, hands-on education on a variety of topics in the provision of Long Term Care in both the home and long term care facilities. Develops and facilitates courses on paraprofessional competencies in long term care, telemedicine, quality improvement and other topics in long term care. Assures compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. The primary course to be taught will be Home Health Aide (HHA) certification. Other courses may include but may not necessarily be limited to Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), technology in LTC, behavioral health related training, health literacy and cultural competency.

Opened in 1973, ArchCare at Ferncliff Nursing Home is located on 36 beautiful acres of the former Astor family estate just outside the historic village of Rhinebeck. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience through holistic care that addresses not only the residents' physical needs, but their social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs as well.
As part of the management team, the supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing, staffing and influencing , controlling and evaluating nursing service functions to provide optimum nursing care to each individual resident served with in the facility. It is also her/his responsibility to be knowledge of the established State and Federal Regulations and approve standards of patient care, in addition to established house policies and procedures: ensuring accurate interpretation and compliance. During the Course of duty she /he will be called upon to perform various technical nursing skills as well. In the absence of the Director of Nursing Service and Assistant Director of Nursing, is responsible for the operation of the Nursing Department on her shift.

Our goal is to provide the best possible experience through holistic care that addresses not only the residents' physical needs, but their social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs as well.
The Registered Professional Nurse, under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor, is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating nursing care for a specific unit on a twenty-four hour basis.

The License Practical Nurse (LPN), under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) , provides direct resident care as delegated , and assist the RN in the delivery of resident care utilizing the nursing process as appropriate to the geriatric resident . Participants in resident care services as directed by supervisor in accordance with in-service training.

Works closely with the RN/Unit Manager in assisting each resident to attain and maintain highest level of functioning. Carries out the Residents' care plan as directed by the RN/ Unit Manager.

Responsible for providing home care nursing assessment and interventions along with care planning and coordination of 24 hour care for to PACE participants as part of the PACE interdisciplinary team.
