Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

Assumes professional responsibility for the Home Health Agency and integrated programs. Provides leadership and direction for program services consistent with the overall mission, philosophy and policies of the organization. This involves planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating, as well as assuring compliance with State, Federal, and Accreditation and Agency standards. Works closely with the Executive Team, appropriate management staff and committees to facilitate program coordination and implementation.

 

  • Serves as administrator.
  • Assures that policies and procedures reflect compliance with New York State regulations, the federal conditions of participation for Medicare and Joint Commission Accreditation Standards as outlined for the Certified Home Health Agency.
  • Assures that the care and service provided are monitored for quality, appropriateness, coordination and integration.
  • Assists in organizational and strategic planning, setting goals, program, policy and budget development, along with implementation and monitoring strategies.
  • Assures the presence and implementation of staff development activities that include but are not limited to orientation, performance evaluation, and in-service education programs.
  • Performs additional duties as required and requested, related to program and organization management as well as for special projects and the development of new programs.
  • Participate in evaluating overall position performance, goal setting and achievement, and performance improvement plan.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Current NYS Registered Nurse License 
  • 3 years of RN Clinical experience
  • At least one (1) year in health care settings including a minimum of two years’ supervisory experience in home health care.
  • Two years as a CHHA Director of Patient Services and/or Administrator; or
  • Ten years of home care nursing experience plus a master’s degree in nursing, public health, business administration or another health-related field.

Salary

Salary: $225,000-$233,000 annually
