The Community Infection Control Nurse performs acts, which require substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills based upon principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences. S/he is responsible maintaining monitoring an effective, community based infection prevention and control program, as well as assisting the head of the corporate infectious control lead in developing the program.
Essential Functions:
Formal Education
Bachelor's Degree, Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Experience
Experience: Unless otherwise indicated, a minimum of five years of current experience and ideally, within the last three years, in a comparable job classification
License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State
Certificate in Infection Prevention and d Control (CIC)
Minimum Knowledge
Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members.
Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner.
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
