Overview

  • Trade School or work experience of two years in the following areas is preferred; plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry and carpentry
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Perform minor building, HVAC, wheelchair repairs, hospital beds, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary, Implement preventative maintenance measures , Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies , Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol , Perform other maintenance duties as requested Perform general cleaning.

Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building • Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance • Receive and respond to resident reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises • Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects • Maintain corporate safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations • Evacuate building in the event of an emergency • Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the structure • Calibrate instruments and tools required for job responsibilities

Qualifications

Certificate of Fitness S-95, Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems and Other Related Systems

Certificate of Fitness G-46, Storage, Handling, Use and Refilling of Non-Flammable Gas Cylinders

Certificate of Fitness for Citywide Sprinkler Systems (S-12)

Certificate of Fitness for Citywide Standpipe Systems (S-13)

A35 to Operate and Maintain Air Compressors
