    Our goal is to provide the best possible experience through holistic care that addresses not only the residents' physical needs, but their social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs as well. Currently looking for a Part time Second Cook who will assist in the preparing and cookinf of  residents meal as per menu requirements as well as special functions.

    Responsibilities

    The qualified and ideal Second Cook candidate must be able to:

    • Assists the First Cook in the requisition of food supplies from all storage areas and follows production sheet so that foods will be ready at specified times.
    • Confers with first Cook regarding modified diets, menu and recipes. Relives the first cook on his day off. Stores all leftover food after meals according to the health standards requirements with labels.
    • Maintains orderly storage and sanitation of foods in the kitchen. Maintains orderly storage and sanitation of foods in the kitchen. Assist other employees where needed
    • Responsible and cooperative with supervisors, fellow employees, residents and families. Maintains friendly working atmosphere and professional attitude.
    • Maintains professional appearance. Provides assistance with resident care where applicable. Promotes the organization's and departments image , philosophy and policies.
    • Follows organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Follows assigned safety, security and fire procedures. Reports any accidents and dangerous situations immediately.
    • Maintains confidentiality of organizational and resident information. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Must have a High School Diploma or equivalency; culinary arts degree or schooling perferred

    Experience in Institutional/Bulk meal preparations preferred.

    1 year experience in food services or customer service related desired.
