    Opened in 1973, ArchCare at Ferncliff Nursing Home is located on 36 beautiful acres of the former Astor family estate just outside the historic village of Rhinebeck. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience through holistic care that addresses not only the residents' physical needs, but their social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs as well.


    The Financial Screener will assist the business office with the management of Private Pay, Medicare and Medicaid billings for the facility. A particular emphasis will be on the application process for Medicaid benefits by our residents, assisting them to complete that process timely, and ensuring that revenue from these residents is collected.


    • Assist Medicaid Entitlement Coordinator with obtaining documents, Medicaid application completion and submission process
    • Copying and filing Medicaid applications, bank statements and other records as directed
    • Coordinate Physician signatures as directed.
    • Under the direction of Assistant Administrator and/or Medicaid Entitlement Coordinator, ensures NAMI and Private payments are collected and recorded; will assist with collection calls as necessary
    • Responsible for obtaining signatures for Direct Deposit, County Authorizations, and payment plan agreements. Responsible for submitting Representative application and Direct Deposit requests to the SSA
    • Responsible for copying and logging all resident checks that are received at the facility
    • Delivers Corporate overnight packet to the Post Office twice weekly
    • Sends all required 3559’s to appropriate Counties. Log all County documentation sent. Log all receipts of NAMI/private payment checks
    • Print and log Daily Census. Scan and upload information into New York State Health Commerce System (HCS)
    • Interacts with Medical Staff/Social Work Department in the completion of required forms
    • Other duties, as assigned


    Education Requirement
    • High School Diploma, some college preferred

    Experience Requirements

    • 1+ years of professional work experience in an office environment preferred.
    • Twelve months related business experience, including experience with MS Office, spreadsheets, etc.
    • Experience with Excel, data entry.
    • Excellent telephone and email business etiquette.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational skills and attention to detail
