  • Overview


    • Reminds and encourages residents to attend structured activities.
    • Transport residents to programs and oversees activity to ensure resident safety.
    • Assist in leading therapeutic recreation activities (music and movement, socials, special events)
    • Copies, distributes and posts weekly and monthly recreation calendar.
    • Provide friendly visits to assigned residents.
    • Keeps bulletin boards up to date and decorated with appropriate seasonal themes.
    • Takes statistics on residents attending weekend program and inputs data into Excel spreadsheet.
    • Maintains a good attendance record.
    • Reports to work on time.
    • Posts flyers describing special events and recreation therapy programs in elevator bulletin boards (as assigned by Director or professional staff). 
    • Assists other employees when needed.
    • Responsible and cooperative with supervisors, fellow employees, residents, and families.
    • Maintains friendly working atmosphere.
    • Maintains professional attitude.
    • Maintains professional appearance.
    • Provides assistance with resident care where applicable.
    • Promotes the organization’s and department’s image, philosophy, and policies.
    • Learns and follows organizational departmental policies and procedures.
    • Learns and follows assigned safety, security, and fire procedures.
    • Reports any accidents and dangerous situation immediately.
    • Maintains confidentiality of organizational and resident information.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.


    High School Diploma or equivalent

    At least 1 year working in related field

    Available to work every weekend
