Overview

ArchCare, The Continuing Care Community of the Archdiocese of New York, is dedicated to fostering and providing faith-based holistic care to frail and vulnerable people unable to fully care for themselves. Through shared commitments, ArchCare seeks to improve the quality of the lives of those individuals and their families. 

Responsibilities

* 
Manage the process for updating and expanding the robustness of the ArchCare website, including creating articles and newsworthy stories and developing strategies to make the website a “go-to” site.
* 
Manage implementation and execution of communication efforts, and evaluate all such initiatives.
* 
Assist in the planning of strategic communications efforts including ArchCare positioning and identity development.
* 
Introduce new and creative approaches to marketing and communications content designed to expand ArchCare’s name recognition and reach to key audiences (investors, local partners, advocates, funders, policymakers, government officials, and others).
* 
Oversee the development, design, production, and editorial direction of effective print, electronic, web, and other communications vehicles developed for ArchCare, and ensure the effective coordination of electronic and print media.
* 
Personally participate in writing, editing, proofreading and manage all such efforts for various marketing and communications products.
* 
Serve as the liaison between events consultant and ArchCare for the annual ArchCare Gala.
* 
Work with outside consultant in the development, design, production, and editorial direction of effective print, electronic, web, and other communications vehicles developed for ArchCare, and ensure the effective coordination of electronic and print media.
* 
Participate in writing, editing, proofreading and manage all such efforts for various marketing and communications products.
* 
Develop policy & procedures to support the functioning of the Catholic Health Foundation and act as the staff liaison between ArchCare and the Foundation.
* 
Work collaboratively with existing grant writer
* 
Assist with other tasks as needed in other corporate areas.

Qualifications

Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 3 years
License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: Yes
Minimum Knowledge: Requires advanced knowledge of a specialized or technical field or a thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of a professional field.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
