Responsibilities

Performance Management

Folds rough, dry items; process personal clothing; works on flatwork ironer; fold/receive/stack

Performance Management

Folds all rough and dry items following established procedures
* 
Performs utility chores such as: shaking out linen, folding, receiving and filling in as requested or necessary
* 
Stores folded items on shelves or in their designated location
* 
Works on small piece folder and tunnel finisher
* 
Folds and wraps residents' personal clothing, stacks in hampers for return to floors
* 
Inspects all resdients's clothing to see if they are torn and need mending; if so, puts them aside so that they can be sent to the sewing room
* 
Hangs all residents' dresses on individual rack hangers
* 
Feeds sheets, pillowcases, napkins, tablecloths, etc, through flatwork ironer
* 
Reports any malfunction of equipment of the Laundry Supervisor and/or Director
* 
Delivers clean linen and personal clothing to all floors
* 
Picks up soiled linen from all floors as required
* 
Prepares daily floor linen cart, load trucks

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience in institutional Laundry preferred.
