Overview

THE MISSION of ArchCare is to foster and provide faith-based holistic care to frail and vulnerable people unable to fully care for themselves. Through shared commitments, the System seeks to improve the quality of the lives of those individuals and their families. ArchCare at Mary Manning Walsh Home is currently seeking highly qualified and compassionate C.NA who can deliver exceptional service to resident in our new The TeliStat Restorative Care Unit that consists of a 18 beds in a dedicated section of a our nursing facility.  Qualified C.NA will be responsible for managing the day to day direct care of high acuity patients, using state of the art technology which includes specialized beds, and wall mounted interactive telemedicine monitors.

Responsibilities

The TRCU CNA provides nursing care within the guidelines of New York State Department of health and follows the Facility Policy and Procedures. The TRCU CNA willl also provide additional monitoring by communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the nurse and the interdisciplinary to assist residents in reaching their goals. The TRCU C.N.A will assist with the care of the residents in this post-acute environment and must posses the following skills:

  • Have excellent communication skills which includes ability to communicate effectively verbally and written with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Able to administer compassionate and comprehensive care
  • Have astute observation skills and be ready to report changes in resident condition and behavior promptly
  • Have the ability to understand and establish Care Prioritization for resident
  • Able to resolve conflict with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Able to measure vital signs
  • Have a sense of self accountability, urgency and integrity
  • Be proactive and understand the customer expectation
  • Delivery high level of quality care and execute customer service excellence
  • Have willingness to learn and apply any “newly” acquired skills accordingly
  • Ability to use positive language that promotes confidence to the resident/patient well-being and recovery process
  • Be attentive, exercise patience and follow through on commitments of care for the resident
  • Able to anticipate residents needs and meet such needs in timely and effective manner
  • Able understand resident needs and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure high quality measures and delivery of services are met
  • Ability to handle complexities and last minute changes/conditions of resident; must remain calm and able to guide resident through such changes

Qualifications

* Current NYS nursing assistant certification 

* Current CPR and first aid certifications a must

* One year nursing experience is a plus with high acutity
